French Empire Napoleon III butlers serving table with slip tray. A very collectable and well made, decorative serving table, I found this in a very dusty antiques shop in Deulin Belgium, it had been hidden for God knows how long under various other pieces, missed by everyone until I found it, what a find, what a decorators delight! The piece is all mahogany with brass accents, it has twin butlers serving trays, I guess you would have used it for serving cakes snacks and sandwiches, pulled the trays out, placed a plate on top and served from the main body to the plates The condition is excellent for the period, there may be some light age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect, one of the sliding shelves has a timber shrinkage split, common with large pieces of mahogany, they are all topped with glass so it doesn’t matter Dimensions Height:- 77cm Width:- 73cm extending to 127cm Depth:- 51.5cm.
