Vintage Design
Impressive Art Deco desk in noble rosewood and black piano lacquer. All parts including glass and locks are original and in very good condition. The entire desk has been restored and polished by hand to a high gloss. A fantastic piece of history that impresses with its appearance alone. The desk was purchased from a studio in the Villa des Arts in Paris – famous artists such as Eugène Carrière, Paul Cézanne, Auguste Renoir, Paul Signac, Louis Marcoussis, Francis Picabia, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Jean and Raoul Dufy have worked in the studios used to and worked. Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Paul Éluard, André Breton, Joan Miro, Gertrude Stein and others came to visit.
