French 20th Century Topaz Peridot 18 Karat Yellow Gold Butterflies Necklace

This is part of Chairish’s Fine Jewelry assortment.

Necklace in 18 karat yellow gold, eagle head hallmark.

Called antique drapery necklace, it is formed of patterns in the shape of butterflies openwork of filigree and separated between them by gold clasps and smaller patterns representing also a butterfly.

2 pear- cut topazes and 4 pear- cut peridots, decorate in pampille this decoration.

The chain continues with small trilobal motifs spaced from a convict mesh chain.

The clasp is a spring ring.

Weight of the peridots : 2,75 carats approximately.

Weight of the topazes : 1.55 carat approximately.

Height of the patterns : 13,8 mm approximately, width : 16,8 mm approximately, thickness : 1,5 mm approximately.

Length : 47 cm approximately, width of the chain : 2,5 mm approximately.

Total weight of the jewel : 16 g approximately.

Antique jewel – French work of the beginning of the XXth century.

The topazes and the peridots were added with care by our workshop.

Our opinion : this antique necklace with butterflies was already charming initially but the addition of the natural stones brings it even more elegance and originality.
