Louis Vuitton Monceau 28 Black Epi Leather Shoulder Crossbody Bag, France 1992. This iconic monceau was first introduced in the early 1990s in the durable leather epi leather and was designed as a purse alternative to a briefcase. The bag was referred to as the “monceau” and gained its namesake from the famous park in Paris and is of smaller size variant of 28cm. This monceau is made from “noir” or black epi leather with adorning brass hardware, signature “S” lock and two keys. Interior opens to matching black taiga leather and Louis Vuitton heat stamp to opening of bag below zipped pocket with date code to adjacent corner side of VI0972, for France 1992. This monceau is in good vintage condition with some wear that is concentrated to the sides of strap and interior pocket where sticky residue has occurred. Comes with original Louis Vuitton dust bag. Measures: 11″ L x 1″ D x 9″ H
Condition: GRADE 3. In overall good vintage condition where exterior wear is minimal with little to no wear with the exception of resting corners. Interior storage shows some wear where majority is concentrated to zipped pocket where stickiness has occurred over time. Edges of adjustable shoulder strap shows some peeling and break through threading but does not compromise integrity of bag.
