Exceptional Contemporary Design
The Tax Bench is part of the Taxing Art project, which investigates how taxation affects creativity. This bench was designed with unique profiles that make a whole bench in kit form. This process creates a tax ambiguous object that is hard for tax authorities to define. The bench is mostly clear but due to its refractive properties, the bench seems clear, light blue, deep blue, or black depending on your perspective. It was commissioned by Swarovski for their 10th anniversary of Crystal Palace at Design Miami/Basel.
