Vintage Design
The “Weissenhof Chair”, or also called MR 10, was designed in 1927 by the German-American architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969). Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is considered one of the most important architects of modernity. The most important projects include the multi-family houses at the Stuttgart Weissenhof settlement, the German Pavilion for the World Fair 1929 in Barcelona, as well as the Villa Tugendhat in Brno. Our two resilient cantilever chairs come from the 1980s and were produced by Thonet. Manufacturer designation on the bottom. Chromed steel pipe frame, seat and back of thick, black colored core leather. Immaculate condition. Leather parts with lightweight traces of use, but without deep scratches and without open seams. Attention: The chairs have a deep seat height of 38cm. They are therefore well as opposed to a sofa.
