An ensemble of 4 colored chairs and the matching table.
The chairs are very simple and handcrafted. The construction is legible. The two solid wooden rungs of the backrest are inserted, the 4 solid wooden legs are screwed. The backrest and seat are contrasting colors. A wonderful contrast between the colored elements and the natural tone of the wood.
The legs of the table are also made of solid wood. The table surface is coated and has a fine pattern. The red edging on the edge is particularly striking.
This furniture can also be found in the children’s room in Prof. Hassenpflug’s designs for the “model apartments in a Hamburg apartment block” (Grindel high-rises).
The furniture is in good condition and shows some clear signs of wear and patina.
